Eating breakfast outside.
I did not like the room facing onto the noisy street. I put in earplugs so that I could sleep with the windows open as it was so hot. The blinds should be left down all day to keep the rooms cooler. It was not good because I had an exam the next day at 8.30am.

The hotel is in centre of town.
The staff wasn't attentive in breakfast, because don't had cups for use or napkins. I complained and after 20 minutes still don't had cups for drink or napkins. Cheese, salami and others cold finished too, but the kitchen staff did not care. In 9 o'clock... The breakfast was until 10. En don't had many tables clean too.

Location
The girl who was on duty on June 24, 2011 was very bad. She did not smile at all. She did not try understand my English accent, who was a customer. I think she was very rude to customer. I'll not receommend to my friends at all.

The location seems to be good at first sighth as it's closed to train station and main attractions of the city. However, the hotel had no air-condition and we had to open the window. There are few people sitting at a pub on the opposite that night but made very big noice till past mid-night. We couldn't slept well whole night. Moreover, we had been woke up about 5.30 to 6.00 am. by convoy of trucks and trailers, they came and parked in front of and around the hotel, unloading cargo to shops around that area. We thought there may got only few and would be finished shortly and we could, then, been back to sleep. But it's shocked me when looked out the window, there are more than ten trucks waiting for unloading. So, we only had few hours nap that night. There was a night mare for us in Bern.

Well located, in the centre of the historic part of Bern and about 5 minutes walk from the station. Staff were helpful, there was a wide choice in the self service breakfast and the room was light and spacious.
My room, at the front of the hotel, was a bit noisy on Friday / Saturday night from revellers, and on Monday morning from delivery vehicles. Otherwise on a quiet street.

Most important for a jet-lagged visitor is the friendliness of the staff and a quiet room with the Continental having both. I particularly commend the night reception.

Clean, well located, helpful staff, hot drinks available, functional and for Bern, reasonably priced, although everything is expensive in Switzerland.
Difficult to use control the temp. in the room

City center location, close to shopping X-mas market ,friendly staff, very good breakfast, fast check in/check out.
Difficult to access, parking at arrival, could have a more prominent entrance (better arrival experience). Key system could be mag card or proximity system. WC had a smell. Shower should have partition glass doors, curtains are unhygienic.

I came to Bern on a business trip. The hotel is very central, it is near to the old city. It offers a good breakfast. But the hotel facilities are very limited.

The location for the price was fair. The staff was polite and helpful. There was free internet available at a lobby computer. Breakfast was typical of European continental hotels. The rooms are clean, on the small side and sparse but unless you are going there to hang out in the room, you should find it comfortable enough.

The hotel is conveniently located in the old part of Bern. The rooms are basic but have what you need for an overnight stay on a city trip.

Location is good, and great in relation to the rail station.
There is no air conditioning, and opening the window to get cirulation, simply allowed all the street noise to come into the room; and there was considerable street noise.
